The 2025 Haydock Sprint Cup meeting is set to take place on Friday, promising an exciting eight-race card. Among the notable races is a fillies' Novice Stakes worth £40,000, which serves as the feature event.

Liam Watson, who has three selections for the meeting, has chosen Changeofmind for the 14:42 Haydock race. Changeofmind, trained by Declan Carroll, had a disappointing last start at York where he was drawn poorly and finished seventh. However, he has been drawn well for this race and could return to winning ways.

Another horse to watch in the same race is Mission Possible, trained by William Haggas. This will be Mission Possible's first start in a handicap, and he is tackling 1m 6f for the first time in this apprentice handicap. Mission Possible showed promise at Ffos Las, finishing a good third over 1m4f.

The three-year-old horse Catalyse, trained by Richard Fahey, stands out in the 16:55 Catalyse - Haydock race. Catalyse has had fair excuses for not finishing closer in his two starts this year. He was severely hampered at the start over course and distance last time out. Despite the ground being against him at Doncaster on his penultimate start, Catalyse has run well without winning so far this year. The handicapper has given Catalyse a chance off 83.

Ata Rangi, trained by Ed Walker, is a significant danger in the same race. Ata Rangi finished a close second at York recently, and his form suggests he could challenge Catalyse and Changeofmind.

In the penultimate race at Haydock, a tricky handicap, Liam Watson has chosen Mission Possible as his selection. Catalyse, who was once rated 91 after his two-year-old campaign, will also be in the fray.

The 2025 Haydock Sprint Cup meeting promises to be an exciting event, with many promising horses set to compete. Don't miss out on the action!
