The City of Hanau is on the brink of a new era, with independence expected on January 1, 2026. This change brings forth a plethora of opportunities for professional development, as highlighted at a recent celebration for the 2022 - 2025 training cohort.

Mayor Dr. Maximilian Bieri and Training Director Nicole Wolf congratulated the trainees for their successful completion of training and their entry into various departments within the Hanau Infrastructure Service (HIS). Fourteen young individuals completed their three-year training in various fields, from gardening and electrician work to administration and vehicle mechanics.

Eric Schwabe, a Gardener in the Garden and Landscape Construction department, was among the new professionals celebrated. Adrian Gerritzen, an Electrician assigned to the technical maintenance department, and Luca Roesch, a Vehicle Mechanic in the HIS fleet, were also present. Kilian Mannel and Alessandro Nowak recently started as Road Builders for the HIS.

Lejla Blagajcevic, Laetitia Dorr, Jamilia Hohenstein, Clara Marquardt, Madeleine Nanz, and Mika Renner completed their training in administration. Meltem Baytar and Julia Heck, dual students in the Public Administration program, will successfully complete their studies at the end of the month. Ruben Parschau, a Media and Information Services Specialist at the Cultural Forum, was also among the new professionals.

Dr. Bieri acknowledged the trainees' diligence and personal effort in completing their training. He urged the new professionals to be part of public service in the best sense and demonstrate their dedication and openness. All new professionals have been offered continued employment by the city.

The event took place on September 5, 2025, in the Red Hall of Schloss Philippsruhe. Mayor Dr. Bieri and other representatives from the Personnel Office, Personnel Council, and trainers were present to celebrate the new professionals' achievements.
