Extension agreement for Federal Chancellery facilities by Caverion

The German branch of international engineering and services company Caverion has been awarded a contract for the execution of heating and cooling technical trades in the expansion of Berlin's Federal Chancellery.

The new building, located on the opposite bank of the Spree, will be constructed in the vicinity of the existing Federal Chancellery. The semi-circular structure, spanning six floors, is set to house approximately 400 offices and boast a gross floor area of around 57,000 square meters.

The expansion of the Federal Chancellery is not part of the original construction and is instead an addition to the existing building. The new building will be responsible for accommodating the upgrading of heating and cooling systems.

It is worth noting that Caverion Germany was previously involved in the construction of the Federal Chancellery in the 1990s. Manfred Simmet, Managing Director of Caverion Germany, expressed his pleasure about participating in the project, stating, "We are proud to be part of this significant development for Berlin's Federal Chancellery."

Despite the contract being for the execution of heating and cooling technical trades, the expansion will involve construction work. The planned start date for the extension construction of the Bundeskanzleramt (Federal Chancellery) in Berlin remains undisclosed at this time.

The contract, which is for the expansion of the Federal Chancellery, is not for a new construction. The location of the contract execution is the Federal Chancellery in Berlin.

While the design of the new building will not be carried out by Caverion Germany, the company will be responsible for the technical trades of heating and cooling in the expansion. The awarded contract is related to these technical trades.
