Family Gathers for Religious Service with Music - Baptism Held in Meininger Schlosspark on August 25, 1925.

On August 31, 2025, at 2 PM, the Evangelical Lutheran Church Circle of Meiningen is hosting a unique and special baptism celebration in the picturesque Meiningen Castle Park. This family-friendly event, with the motto "Under Your Love I Am", will feature a service held in a large tent, accompanied by the musical talents of various groups.

The service will begin with the small baptismal family choir, who will perform beautiful hymns to welcome the congregation. The musical programme will also include the brass players of the Posaunenchor "Mittendrin" under the direction of Alexander Benndorf, and the band Slight Lights, who will add a contemporary touch to the proceedings. Church cantor Sebastian Fuhrmann will also be present to lead the service.

A total of 28 children and one adult have registered for baptism, and the baptismal water will be carried to the baptism stations in a human chain. The water will be drawn from the Werra river, symbolising the life-giving power of the water and the renewal that baptism brings.

The baptismal fonts used during the service will be a sight to behold, as they will be adorned with the symbol of the baptism celebration - the rainbow. The rainbow, a symbol of hope and renewal, will be a fitting emblem for this joyous occasion.

During the communal celebration that follows the service, the baptised children can expect a special rainbow action, which promises to be a highlight of the day. After the service, everyone is invited to join in a communal celebration, where food and drink will be available, and the spirit of camaraderie and joy will be palpable.
