Fashion retailer Gap partners with Béis for a collection encompassing clothing and luggage.
In a new collaboration, American clothing retailer Gap and travel goods company BEIS have joined forces to launch a capsule collection designed for fashionable and functional travel. The collection, which consists of 25 items, includes apparel, denim-inspired luggage, and travel bags.
The collection, available on both Gap and BEIS' e-commerce websites and select Gap stores, features a range of styles suitable for any traveller. Highlights include a convertible cargo barrel pants, a convertible bandeau jumpsuit, and a travel hoodie with a built-in inflatable neck pillow. The collection also boasts a carry-on roller bag designed to resemble Gap denim, as well as a denim weekender bag and travel backpack.
Speaking about the collaboration, Shay Mitchell, founder and chief creative officer of BEIS, said, "BEIS is built on functional and accessible design, and partnering with Gap allows us to bring basic items to more people than ever." Mitchell, who has worn Gap since she was a kid, added that designing this collection allows her to express her personal style while travelling.
The collection's prices range from $8 to $128 for apparel and accessories, while luggage and travel bags cost between $120 and $378. Gap's website offers the full collection, while the BEIS website carries the luggage and travel bags and select apparel styles.
This collaboration marks the latest in Gap's efforts to make collaborations a key part of its strategy. Earlier this year, Gap launched collections with Malbon Golf, Harlem's Fashion Row, and womenswear brand Doen. The capsule collection with BEIS is intended for anyone who wants to look good, feel good, and travel in style, according to Shay Mitchell.
Gap's foray into collaborations reflects the growing trend among retailers to partner with brands that align with their values and customer base. By collaborating with BEIS, Gap is able to offer its customers a range of stylish and functional travel items that complement its existing offerings.
With the new collection, Gap and BEIS have created a collection that is perfect for travellers who want to look good and feel good while on the go. Whether you're hitting the road for a weekend getaway or embarking on a longer journey, this collection has something for everyone.
