In the Kindergarten "Wirbelwind" and "Weltentdecker" in Neuss, a number of children and teachers have been placed under quarantine due to positive COVID-19 cases. Specifically, a teacher at "Wirbelwind" has tested positive, leading to a group of children and 15 others being quarantined. Additionally, four other teachers at the same kindergarten are currently under investigation.

The Kreis Health Department has established a hotline for important questions related to the coronavirus. The hotline, reachable at 02181/601-7777, is available from Monday to Friday, 8 - 18 o'clock, and on weekends, 10 - 18 o'clock.

As of October 30, 2020, there are 892 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Rhein-Kreis Neuss, with 345 of these currently infected individuals living in Neuss itself. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 2,836 infections have been confirmed in the area.

Sadly, an 84-year-old man from Rommerskirchen has died from complications related to a coronavirus infection, bringing the total number of deaths in Rhein-Kreis Neuss to 30.
