A 27-year-old German national was arrested at Cologne/Bonn Airport on September 6th during arrival control. The arrest was carried out by officers from the Federal Police Directorate Sankt Augustin, following an outstanding warrant from the Saarbrücken Public Prosecutor's Office related to drug law violations.

The individual, who had arrived from Istanbul, was previously convicted under the Narcotics Act. Due to his inability to pay a fine over 2,000 euros, he now faces a 60-day custodial sentence. He was taken to Siegburg Prison after completion of police measures.
