Federal Law Enforcement Agents Successfully Conduct Search Operation on Tuesday - Three Suspects Apprehended at Düsseldorf Airport (BPOL NRW)

In a series of events at Düsseldorf Airport on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, three individuals were arrested by the Federal Police.

First, a 27-year-old Syrian, wanted by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Braunschweig for fraud in two cases, was taken into custody during border controls. The Syrian had arrived on a flight from Beirut, Lebanon. His arrest was related to the fraud cases for which he was wanted. The man was able to pay a fine of 50 euros on the spot and thus avoided a custodial sentence, with the help of a family member.

The Syrian's wanted status had been active since May 2025, and the fraud cases occurred in an unspecified timeframe prior to that.

On the same day, a 43-year-old German man was also checked at Düsseldorf Airport. He was wanted by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Bielefeld for a violation of the Law on Ordinary Offenses in July of the year. However, the public prosecutor's office that issued the arrest warrant against him is not explicitly mentioned in the search results.

The third individual arrested was a 35-year-old German woman. She was wanted by the Lübeck District Court for suspected theft since August of the year. In January 2024, the Public Prosecutor's Office in Lübeck issued an enforcement order for asset seizure of approximately 800 euros against the woman. Despite a main hearing, she failed to appear, leading to her being put on the wanted list. The woman was able to pay the amount and was then handed over to the judicial authorities by the Federal Police.

These arrests underscore the ongoing efforts by German authorities to apprehend individuals wanted for various offences, ensuring justice is served and maintaining public safety.
