Federal motorist breaches Federal Police barrier on BAB 64 highway, fleeing at a considerable pace following the incident

On the night of August 15, 2025, a dramatic chase unfolded on the A64 motorway near Trier, Germany. The culprit was a black VW Golf with Luxembourg registration plates that refused to stop during internal border controls.

The incident occurred around midnight, with the driver fleeing towards the A61 motorway after refusing to stop when approached by Federal Police officers. Witnesses of the incident are asked to contact the Federal Police in Trier at 0651 - 43678-0.

Throughout the chase, the driver reached speeds of up to 160 km/h, making it a dangerous and evasive pursuit. The driver attempted several times to shake off the patrols and ignored all stop signals.

Despite the efforts of several Federal and State Police patrols, the driver managed to evade capture. The Luxembourg police eventually located the vehicle and the passenger in Luxembourg, but both the driver and the passenger remain at large.
