Federal Police Investigation in Munich: Suspected Smuggling of Two Migrant Groups Denied by Libyans and Chinese Participants

On August 30, 20XX, the German Federal Police (Bundespolizei) denied entry to 15 individuals attempting to illegally enter the Federal Republic of Germany. The incident occurred near Kiefersfelden, and investigations are ongoing to determine the organisation of the trip.

Two distinct groups were involved in the attempted migration. Nine Libyan nationals were traveling in a Polish-registered tourist bus, while the other six were Chinese nationals, traveling by train. Both groups were turned back to Austria after being denied entry.

The Rosenheim Federal Police Inspectorate, responsible for the districts of Miesbach, Bad TΓΆlz-Wolfratshausen, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and the city and district of Rosenheim, was in charge of the border control. The inspectorate, with approximately 450 members, is particularly active against cross-border crime and works primarily against the smuggling of foreigners and irregular, illegal migration along a 200-kilometer-long section of the German-Austrian border.

Initial findings suggest that both groups were guided by smugglers. One of the Chinese individuals stated that they had traveled from Turkey, Bosnia, Croatia, and Italy before reaching Germany.

The Rosenheim Federal Police Inspectorate's main focus is on ensuring border security and rail safety. In addition to securing the border, the inspectorate ensures the safety of rail passengers and railway facilities on approximately 370 kilometers of track and in approximately 70 stations and stops.
