Alberto Núñez Feijóo, the leader of the People's Party (PP), has made a series of bold moves in recent days, addressing concerns over the inclusion of Israeli components in certain military equipment and the ongoing investigation of the Attorney General of the State.

Feijóo has expressed his disapproval of the communication systems of a large part of the Spanish army's material containing Israeli components. He has called on Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez not to include the main opposition party when speaking about foreign policy.

In a surprising turn of events, Feijóo has also demanded that Sánchez address the humanitarian issues in Gaza and return hostages, as he believes the current government has been silent on these matters.

The controversy over the Attorney General of the State's investigation has led Feijóo to skip the opening of the judicial year. The Minister of Justice, Pilar Llop, informed Feijóo that they would modify the Statute of the Ministry of Justice to endorse the suitability of the Attorney General and to implement an automatic resignation in the event of an investigation.

Feijóo's decision not to attend the meeting at the end of July was discussed with the Royal House and the king, who understood and took note of his decision.

In a more light-hearted note, Feijóo has embraced the "I like fruit" slogan, a phrase coined by Isabel Díaz Ayuso, the president of the Community of Madrid. He shared a video on social media singing "my lemon, my lemon tree," echoing Ayuso's use of the phrase as an ironic response to criticism.

Feijóo chose to attend the opening of the judicial year with Ayuso at a PP event in Arganda del Rey, showing his support for his fellow party member amidst the ongoing controversy.

Feijóo has been vocal about his stance on the situation in Gaza, acknowledging Hamas as a terrorist organization but finding the actions of the Israeli government towards the civilian population unacceptable. He has avoided using the term "genocide" but has expressed his disapproval of the Israeli government's actions.

In response to Sánchez's claims that Spain will continue buying weapons from Israel, Feijóo has accused the prime minister of lying. This allegation has added to the growing tension between the two political leaders.

As the situation continues to unfold, Feijóo's actions and statements are likely to shape the political landscape in Spain in the coming days.
