On Saturday, September 6th, Wiesbaden's Schlossplatz will come alive with the 48th Intercultural Summer Festival. This year's theme, "Celebrating Diversity and Openness - Together in Wiesbaden," promises a day filled with cultural exchange, entertainment, and community spirit.

The festival, hosted by the Office for Immigration and Integration, the Foreigners' Advisory Board, and various Wiesbaden associations and organisations, will kick off at 10:00 AM. City Council President Gerhard Obermayr and Integration Commissioner Milena Loebcke will deliver welcoming words at approximately 1:00 PM.

The event will feature a stage program showcasing dance and music performances by numerous initiatives and associations. Ibrahim Kızılgoz, the chairman of the Foreigners' Advisory Board, will also speak during the event.

Children's activities are an integral part of the program, ensuring that the younger members of the community also have a memorable day. Food stalls throughout the day will offer a taste of various cultures, adding to the festive atmosphere.

For the first time, the Summer Festival is being organized by the event agency Palast Promotion. Loebcke thanks the initiatives, associations, and cultural groups participating in the festival for their commitment to diverse coexistence in Wiesbaden.

Loebcke emphasizes that the festival is a means to highlight the peaceful and vibrant coexistence in the city, and a celebration of the diversity in Wiesbaden, despite challenging times. Information booths will be available during the event, with various city administration departments presenting their own offers and projects.

Loebcke encourages everyone to join in the celebration, stating, "The 48th Intercultural Summer Festival is a testament to the rich cultural tapestry of Wiesbaden, and a reminder of the importance of unity and openness in our city."
