In the heart of Heerdt, a small town in Germany, a remarkable chapter is about to come to a close. The current Shooting Queen, Lijuan Heidenreich, has ruled for a year, and on Schützenfest Monday, she will pass the crown to the new majesty.

Lijuan Heidenreich's journey to the throne began a few years ago, when she joined the Grenadier corps "Dorfschwalben." This decision was a result of her ambition to become Heerdt's Shooting Queen. It was during a shooting parade that Lijuan first witnessed a royal carriage, an event that sparked her desire to follow in the footsteps of the previous queens.

Accompanied by her husband, Günther, Lijuan attended the parade in 2012. Inspired by the grandeur and tradition, she made the decision to apply for the king's shot and pursue her dream. Günther, a supportive husband, encouraged her to chase her goal.

With her first shot, Lijuan made club history and became Heerdt's first Shooting Queen. She never lost sight of her goal, and her dedication paid off.

On Schützenfest Monday, Lijuan will participate in the festive parade through the district, waving to spectators along the street. She will also experience the festival from the royal carriage, a fitting end to her reign.

As she prepares to pass the crown, Lijuan will reflect on her time as Shooting Queen, particularly standing at the festival in 2012 and making the decision to become queen. Her tenure has been marked by dedication, tradition, and a touch of history.

The identity of the ruler who will succeed Lijuan remains unknown, but one thing is certain: the Schützenfest will continue to celebrate the spirit of Heerdt, its tradition, and its queens.
