Finance Minister pays a visit to Hellwig

In the heart of Nordhorn, Lower Saxony, the company Hellwig Elektrotechnik recently welcomed a high-level delegation. The visit was led by Lower Saxony's Finance Minister Reinhold Hilbers, who was on his summer tour, and accompanied by local politicians, citizens, and the municipal economic promoter, Karsten Müller.

The company, founded by Alexander Hellwig in 2015 in his own garage in Veldhausen, has come a long way since then. Now situated in the industrial area of Bosinks Kamp, Hellwig Elektrotechnik's own building was constructed due to full order books and steady business growth. The company's building, spanning around 2,200 square meters, boasts ideal traffic connections.

Alexander Hellwig and his wife Alessja warmly welcomed the guests to their young company. Hellwig presented his business, specializing in switchgear construction, electrical installations, smart building technology, and charging stations for electric mobility. He led the visitors through the new premises, providing ample time for a direct exchange in a relaxed atmosphere.

Minister Hilbers and Müller were particularly interested in issues concerning young entrepreneurs like Alexander Hellwig. They discussed the challenges and opportunities that come with starting and growing a business, with the shortage of skilled workers being one of the biggest challenges for Hellwig Elektrotechnik.

Administrative hurdles and complex documentation requirements are burdens from Hellwig's perspective. However, Karsten Müller, the economic promoter, considers Hellwig Elektrotechnik a prime example of successful entrepreneurship. He believes that the company, serving customers throughout the region and the Emsland, is a testament to the thriving business environment in Nordhorn.

Hellwig Elektrotechnik employs six people at present, a testament to the company's growth. The company's location in Genthin reflects its regional roots, yet its reach extends far beyond, making it a significant player in the local economy. The visit by Minister Hilbers and his delegation was a celebration of this success and a reminder of the potential for growth and innovation in the region.
