Financial incentive of up to £3,000 for households in Halifax to install heat pumps and solar panels.
The Halifax Green Living Reward is a fantastic initiative aimed at encouraging homeowners to adopt energy-efficient systems. This programme, open to Halifax and Bank of Scotland account holders, offers cashback incentives in partnership with Octopus Energy and Effective Home.
By installing solar panels, battery storage systems, or air source heat pumps, eligible customers can receive up to £1,000, £2,000, and up to £1,000 cashback respectively. For other home improvements like biomass boilers, solar thermal heating, and insulation, customers can receive a £500 cashback.
To qualify, you must have a current Halifax or Bank of Scotland account at the time of your claim and have installed the system within one year of finalising your Halifax mortgage. The cashback claims are made through the Green Living journey on your account. Once submitted, Halifax aims to credit your account within 72 hours.
Octopus Energy also joins the initiative, offering a £100 energy bill credit for heat pump installations. However, there is no mention of any energy bill credit from Octopus Energy or discount from Effective Home in this context.
Cashback claims can be made by uploading the invoice for the installed systems to your Green Living journey and submitting the claim. Please note that you can only claim each cashback reward once, but you might be able to claim more than one if you have multiple mortgages or recently switched to a new deal.
This programme is a great opportunity for homeowners to not only reduce their carbon footprint but also save money on their energy bills. So, start your green living journey today and reap the rewards!
