BMW Group Financial Services Announces Leadership Changes
In a press release dated June 6, 2023, BMW Group Financial Services has announced significant changes in its leadership team. Ole Jensen, a long-standing member of the company, has been appointed as the new President and CEO of BMW Group Financial Services in the United States and head of BMW Group Financial Services, Region Americas.
Jensen, who has been with the company since 2005, has served in various capacities, including chief financial officer roles in South Korea and Italy. During his tenure, he has built local insights and relationships with the Americas team, which will undoubtedly serve him well in his new role. In his new position, Jensen will lead business strategy and operations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.
Tobias Essig, who has been with BMW Group since 1997, will succeed Jensen as the Chief Financial Officer. Essig has supported the company in chief financial officer roles around the world, including countries such as the United Kingdom, Thailand, and South Africa. His extensive experience and global perspective will be invaluable in his new role.
Meanwhile, Gerald Holzmann, the global head of BMW Group Financial Services, expressed his confidence in Jensen's appointment, stating that his global perspective and local insights will serve him well in his new role.
In a separate development, Tobias Essig will join the BMW Group as the new Head of Digital Sales and Customer Experience. Essig has worked in various countries and brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
The outgoing President and CEO, Boehm, previously led BMW Group Financial Services in the U.S. and the Americas region. He will be moving on to lead BMW Brilliance Automotive, BMW Group's joint venture in China.
BMW Group Financial Services North America is a subsidiary that provides financial services to BMW customers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. The company offers retail and commercial financing, leasing, banking products, and other financial services.
These leadership changes will be effective on Aug. 1, 2023. As BMW Group Financial Services continues to grow and evolve, these changes are expected to strengthen the company's position in the market and enhance its customer experience.
