Citibank Taiwan Ltd Recognised as One of the "Best Companies to Work for in Asia"
Citibank Taiwan Ltd, under the leadership of CEO Christie Chang, has once again received recognition for its commitment to talent development and building a thriving workplace. The company was recently honoured as one of the "Best Companies to Work for in Asia" by HR Asia.
The award ceremony, held on August 8, was attended by Christie Chang herself, who served as the president of Citibank Taiwan Ltd. Pamela Tsai, head of Human Resources at Citibank Taiwan Ltd, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
Citi offers a range of benefits to support holistic employee well-being, going beyond the requirements of labor law. These resources are designed to support the overall well-being of colleagues, with a focus on mental and physical health. The bank advocates the importance of these aspects, considering talent its most valued asset.
In addition to wellbeing-related activities and seminars, Citi also works with counseling providers to offer consultation services. This comprehensive approach to employee well-being has been a significant factor in Citibank Taiwan Ltd's success in talent retention. The company has previously received the "Best Staff Retention" award from 104 Job Bank.
Taiwan is expected to face a shortfall of 480,000 workers by 2030. The National Development Council is navigating critical challenges in talent retention, multigenerational workforce integration, and shifting employee expectations. Nearly half (49 percent) of Taiwanese employers find it challenging to fill mid-to-senior level positions, with 71 percent reporting difficulty in filling critical positions.
Amidst these challenges, Citibank Taiwan Ltd remains committed to nurturing local talent and enhancing training and development programs. The bank's dedication to its employees and its investment in their well-being have undoubtedly contributed to its continued success.

The bank's commitment to employee well-being can be traced back to 1977, when Citi's Full-time Analyst Program (formerly known as Management Associate Program) was first introduced in Taiwan. Since then, the bank has consistently prioritised the development and retention of its talent, earning it a reputation as one of the best places to work in Asia.
