Financial regulator FCA's executive Fellhauer criticizes Boey and Bayern-Bank, with Wagner backing him up, due to unknown reasons.
In a heated game between FC Augsburg and Bayern Munich, Augsburg's coach, Sandro Wagner, expressed his concerns and criticisms following an incident involving Robin Fellhauer, a midfielder for the home team.
During the match, Fellhauer collided with Bayern's Sacha Boey, resulting in a severe concussion. The incident left Fellhauer immobilized on the pitch for several minutes before being carried off on a stretcher. Wagner, who voiced his concerns on Sky, a broadcast network, described the incident as not just a normal football injury due to the emotional response from Fellhauer's family, who were seen crying in the locker room after the incident.
Wagner criticized Boey's nonchalant behaviour, describing it as "too cool for this world." He also wished that Boey had apologized immediately after the foul, not just when Fellhauer was unable to move. However, Wagner noted that Boey's foul was brutal but didn't believe it was intentional.
In addition, Wagner expressed his dissatisfaction with the reaction of Munich's bench during the stoppage time incident. He stated that some members could have reacted faster, and he criticized the lack of empathy displayed by the Bayern bench. However, Wagner did not express any further comments about Boey's behaviour on the Bayern bench.
The game ended with a score of 2:3 in favour of Bayern Munich. Fellhauer's injury is expected to keep him out for two to three weeks. The midfielder, born on January 21, 1998, in Mannheim, is under contract with FC Augsburg until summer 2029. At the time of reporting, he was recently hospitalized and diagnosed with a concussion after the head collision during the match and was discharged to go home after being treated at Augsburg University Clinic.
Despite the criticism, Wagner stressed that complaining during the incident was inappropriate, regardless of the team. He did not express any further comments about the Munich bench's behaviour on the broadcast network.
The game between Augsburg and Munich was a tense and emotional encounter, with the incident involving Fellhauer adding an extra layer of drama. As Fellhauer recovers from his injury, the football community hopes for a swift and full recovery for the young midfielder.
