Financial technology firm Revolut partners with Google Cloud to support its growth aiming to reach a user base of 100 million, utilizing Google's robust infrastructure for expansion and improved service delivery.

Revolut, the leading global neobank, has announced a significant partnership with Google Cloud. This multi-year, multi-million dollar deal aims to fuel Revolut's growth and expand its use of Google Cloud's infrastructure.

According to Tara Brady, President of Google Cloud EMEA, Revolut is consistently pushing the boundaries of the financial sector. David Tirado, Vice President of Global Business and Profitability at Revolut, considers Google's AI and cloud infrastructure as an asset.

Under the terms of the partnership, Google will provide Revolut with secure, scalable, and intelligent infrastructure, powered by its leading AI. This collaboration is expected to help deliver the next generation of financial services to a new audience.

Over the past year, Revolut has announced new services such as its own ATMs in Europe and savings and investment tools. The partnership with Google Cloud is expected to further enhance these offerings, enabling rapid scaling and delivering more personalized experiences to customers.

Revolut will utilize Google's AI and machine learning tools, including Gemini, to deliver real-time financial insights and improve fraud detection. The partnership also aims to expand Revolut's use of Google Cloud's infrastructure to handle rising demand and ensure seamless performance.

Google Cloud will serve as the backbone for Revolut's expanding services. Revolut's co-founder and CEO, Nik Storonsky, who is responsible for the global business and profit maximization, believes the partnership will help Revolut continue to outpace the traditional financial sector.

Revolut currently has over 60 million customers, a significant increase from 1.5 million in 2018. The company holds the #1 spot on mobile app stores in multiple markets. Additionally, Revolut is one of the largest global partners for Google Pay and Wallet.

However, neither David Tirado nor Tara Brady mentioned specific numbers regarding the multi-year, multi-million dollar deal. Frédéric Oudéa leads the Western Europe operations but is not the global head. Despite this, the partnership between Revolut and Google Cloud is expected to revolutionize the financial sector and offer innovative services to its customers.
