Finanz Consors Duisburg remains actively engaged in the social event for Bee Duisburg

In August 2022 and May 2023, employees from Consors Finanz Duisburg took part in separate Social Days as part of the "Bee Duisburg" project.

During the August event, which took place in the Kantpark, the team worked on maintaining and repairing small wild bee houses, loosening the soil, and removing weeds from flower beds along the promenade and on Wild Hill.

The Sandarium, an open sand area that serves as a breeding ground for wild bees, was also part of the August 2022 event. This Sandarium, created on the grounds of the Steinbart Gymnasium, is crucial for wild bees as open soil and sand areas are rare in urban landscapes.

In May 2023, Consors Finanz facilitated the creation of a Sandarium at Steinbart Gymnasium. The environmental club of the school oversees the care and maintenance of the Sandarium, ensuring it continues to provide a vital habitat for wild bees.

The participants in both events were supported by representatives of the Biological Station Westliches Ruhrgebiet e. V. (BSWR), Kant's gardeners, and Duisburg's economic operators.

The "Bee Duisburg" project includes activities such as checking and repairing small wild bee houses and maintaining flower beds. This project aims to protect insects and promote biodiversity in the city.
