Man Dies from Severe Burn Injuries Sustained in Mohakhali Fire

A 55-year-old man named Mir Hossain lost his life on August 23 due to severe burn injuries he sustained in a fire at a filling station in the Mohakhali area of the capital.

The tragic incident occurred around 8:50 pm last Sunday, and Mir Hossain was rescued from the spot in critical condition. He was later admitted to the emergency unit of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, where Dr Shawon Bin Rahman, the facility's resident surgeon, confirmed his death. The time of death was confirmed as 3:45 pm on Saturday.

Dr Shawon Bin Rahman stated that Mir Hossain had sustained burns on 45% of his body. He provided updates on Mir Hossain's condition and injuries throughout his treatment. The severity of his injuries led to his admission to the ICU, where he remained until his unfortunate demise.

The National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, located in the city, is a renowned facility for treating burn victims. Hospital sources provided information about the fire incident and Mir Hossain's admission.
