Fire Department Visit: Eicklingen Fire Department to be visited by NDR1 at Flotwedel

On September 4, 2025, the Eicklingen fire brigade welcomed a special visit from NDR 1 Lower Saxony. The occasion was a cheque presentation, marking a generous donation made through the "One for All" action, a joint initiative by NDR 1 Lower Saxony and LOTTO Lower Saxony.

The event, which took place at the fire station, was attended by around 20 comrades from the fire brigade, as well as guests from politics, administration, and the supporting association. Many visitors accompanied the event, having heard about the action.

The winning registration for the "One for All" action was made by Norbert Scharf, a comrade from the Eicklingen fire brigade. His quick response to the radio station call secured the donation for the brigade. In addition to presenting the cheque for 2,000 EUR, Norbert Scharf had the opportunity to record the sound of the Martin horn again, a moment he cherished.

Marcel Kuhlage, another member of the Eicklingen fire brigade, took advantage of the event to try on a turnout coat, helmet, and gloves, and to roll out and roll up a 1.5-inch hose. Sound and image recordings were also made during the event.

The Fire Brigade Flotwedel, led by an unnamed commander, organised the cash donation reception from LOTTO Niedersachsen for the volunteer fire brigade Eicklingen.
