In a recent development, a kitchen fire broke out in the heart of Traunstein on a Thursday evening. The fire department received an emergency call around 8:30 PM, and swiftly deployed 54 firefighters to the scene.

Fortunately, the fire was contained to the kitchen area and did not spread to other parts of the building. However, the incident caused an estimated 100,000 euros worth of damage. Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident.

The fire department, along with the Traunstein police, are working together to investigate the cause of the fire. At present, the cause remains unknown, with no responsible party identified so far. The police are treating the fire as an arson case, and are urging the public for any information that could aid the investigation.

The Red Cross provided support to the affected residents, ensuring their immediate needs were met. The fire department also took the opportunity to remind the community about the importance of maintaining kitchen appliances to prevent similar incidents.

The fire was fought using two fire trucks and two water tankers. After a two-hour struggle, the fire was brought under control. The fire department's quick response and the containment of the fire to the kitchen area undoubtedly minimised the potential damage and ensured the safety of the residents.

The police continue to investigate the cause of the kitchen fire in Traunstein, seeking to bring those responsible to justice. The community remains vigilant, and the incident serves as a reminder to prioritise safety in our homes.
