Firefighters at Detmold liberate a swan entangled in a chain of angel sculptures in Lake Mesché.
The Fire Department of Detmold successfully rescued a swan that had a fishing line caught on its foot yesterday afternoon. The incident occurred on Meschesee lake in Detmold, as reported by news aktuell.
The Fire Department personnel, led by Christopher Rieks, the deputy head of press and public relations, captured the swan in a boat and carefully removed the fishing line from the swan's foot. The entire rescue operation took approximately one hour.
After the fishing line was removed, the swan was successfully released back into Meschesee lake.
