Firefighters Engage in Battle Against Field Fires Spanning Rheinfeld to Zons
Dormagen Fire Department to Conduct Large-Scale Vegetation Fire Fighting Exercise
On Saturday, August 30, the Dormagen Fire Department will be conducting a large-scale exercise aimed at training firefighters in combating field fires. The exercise will take place on a field along Wiesenstraße between Rheinfeld and Zons, and will last from 12 PM to approximately 4:30 PM.
During the exercise, there may be slight smoke development and odor nuisance in the surrounding area. However, only straw will be burned during the exercise, posing no danger. The exercise site will be secured, and numerous fire department vehicles will be in operation.
The purpose of the exercise is to train various methods of fire fighting, and the leaders of the exercise include Bernd Eckhardt, the chief of the Dormagen Fire Department.
If unusual smoke development unrelated to the exercise occurs, contact the fire department at 112. If there is any unusual smoke development that cannot be clearly attributed to the exercise, contact the fire department at 112.
