Firefighters Engage in Battles to Contain Field Fires Spreading Between Rheinfeld and Zons
Dormagen Fire Department to Conduct Large-Scale Vegetation Fire Fighting Exercise
The Dormagen Fire Department has announced a large-scale vegetation fire fighting exercise that will take place on August 30, 2023. The event will take place on a field along Wiesenstraße between Rheinfeld and Zons, from 12 PM to approximately 4:30 PM.
The aim of this exercise is to train various methods of fire fighting. Rest assured, only straw will be burned during the exercise, posing no danger to the public. However, there may be slight smoke development and odor nuisance in the vicinity during the training.
During the exercise, numerous fire department vehicles will be in operation at the exercise site. If there is any unusual smoke development that cannot be clearly attributed to the exercise, please contact the fire department at 112.
