Fire Department in Sprockhövel Responds to Multiple Incidents

The Fire Department in Sprockhövel has been keeping busy over the past few days, responding to various incidents across the city.

On Tuesday, the department supported emergency services in three cases where emergency door openings were required due to people being unable to open the doors. In two of these cases, the fire department did not have to intervene as the doors were opened before further action was needed.

On Wednesday afternoon at around 12:30 pm, the fire department was called to a triggered fire alarm system in a commercial building on Fritz-Lehnhaus-Weg. However, the incident was not related to any emergency door openings or medical treatment. The fire alarm was triggered by a water vapor release, and no damage event occurred in the building.

On Thursday morning at around 8 am, the fire department removed a broken branch from the roadway on Elfringhauser Straße, and later in the evening at around 7 pm, they used special tools to open a house door on Leipziger Straße, allowing emergency services to begin medical treatment. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of all involved emergency services, the patient died on site on Friday morning.

On Thursday, the fire department did not transport any patients or provide intensive medical care on site. There were no fatalities reported in any incidents on Thursday.

The fire department in Sprockhövel did not respond to any incidents on Thursday before 8 am or after 7 pm.

On Friday morning (27.10.24), the fire department was called to the Alte Bergstraße to assist in transporting a patient from a residential building to the ambulance.
