First Announcement of Radiohead's Tour Dates After Seven Long Years

After a seven-year hiatus, British alternative rock band Radiohead has announced a return to the stage, with a run of 20 shows across five cities in Europe. The band, known for their critically acclaimed albums such as "OK Computer" and "Kid A," last performed live in August 2018, concluding their "A Moon Shaped Pool" tour.

The news of Radiohead's reunion was first revealed last year when the band members began rehearsing together. Colin Greenwood, the band's bassist, confirmed in September that Radiohead had reconvened to rehearse. Since then, fans have speculated about the band's plans, with the formation of a new business entity, RHEUK25 LLP, in March adding fuel to the fire.

The shows will take place in Madrid, Bologna, London, Copenhagen, and Berlin, with each city hosting four shows. Tickets to a "Radiohead concert of your choice" were included in a Palisades High School fire relief auction, confirming the band's plans for a European residency this fall. Shortly after, fliers appeared in European cities advertising shows in London and Copenhagen.

Thom Yorke, the band's lead vocalist, addressed speculation that Radiohead was getting back together, stating they had earned the right to do what makes sense to them without having to explain themselves. Yorke revealed that the band found energy in their archive live recordings, helping him to find a way forward. The band's rehearsal rekindled their musical identity.

During their hiatus, the band members have been pursuing side projects. Thom Yorke released "Anima" and Smile records, Jonny Greenwood scored films like "Phantom Thread" and "Spencer", Colin Greenwood toured with Nick Cave, Ed O'Brien released "Earth" in 2020, and Philip Selway put out his third album "Strange Dance" in 2023.

In addition to the live shows, Radiohead has also announced the release of a new live album. "Hail to the Thief Live Recordings 2003–2009" was released digitally on August 13, 2025, and its limited vinyl pressing was released on October 31, 2025. The album features live recordings from concerts in London, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, and Dublin between 2003 and 2009. The album was mixed by Ben Baptie and mastered by Matt Colton, with Thom Yorke involved in the creative process.

Philip Selway, a member of Radiohead, made a statement to fans, expressing the band's hope that fans can attend the upcoming shows. The band also expressed their gratitude for the support they have received over the years. "We are looking forward to seeing you all," Selway said. "It's been too long."

Fans of Radiohead are eagerly awaiting the band's return to the stage. With their unique sound and captivating live performances, the band's shows are sure to be a highlight of the European music scene this fall.
