First Annual Siargao Food and Wine Celebration

The Siargao Food and Wine Festival 2025 is set to take place on the world-renowned island of Siargao from August 14 to August 20, 2025. This exciting event promises a weekend of exceptional food and unforgettable experiences against the backdrop of Siargao's pristine beaches and lush landscapes.

Jove Schrottmann, CEO of The Rลnin and Wild, described the festival as a platform that strengthens sustainable, community-led tourism and enhances the visibility of local producers and culinary artists. The festival's main purpose, according to Schrottmann, is to spotlight the hands that feed the island - farmers, family-led carenderias, baristas, chefs, producers, and makers.

The festival aims to spark sustainable, community-led tourism and encourages responsible practices across the hospitality and F&B industries. It features over 10 collaborative and community-centered events, including exclusive tastings, cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, and immersive cultural experiences.

Attendees can expect to engage with local producers in every event, as confirmed by Andrew Malarky, Executive Chef of The Rลnin and Wild. To make navigation easier, free foodX maps will be available at the Siargao airport and across all venues and partner establishments, providing information about partners and activities.

The festival also offers a unique stamp collecting activity through food passports, which can be purchased on site. This activity encourages attendees to explore different venues and partner establishments, further immersing them in the local culture.

In addition to showcasing the island's culinary delights, the festival also generates long-term opportunities for education, mentorship, and economic resilience. It seeks to strengthen visibility for local producers and food makers, contributing to the island's sustainable development.
