Fishing zone status remains undisclosed, as no data has been received by the Commission.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, an accident occurred at the parking lot of the Steinweg shopping centre in Detmold. An 18-year-old resident from Lemgo was behind the wheel of a heavily damaged Mercedes-AMG, which lost control and caused significant damage.

According to the initial report, the young man stated that an error message appeared on the display, causing the car to accelerate uncontrollably. The estimated damage from the accident is in the low six-figure range.

The car was seized for a technical examination to check for any vehicle defects that might have caused the accident. Tire marks on the asphalt suggest that the car lost control during a drift, leading the police to suspect that the driver had been attempting drifts on the parking lot before the accident.

Several people left the scene of the accident quickly in their vehicles before the police arrived. A parked Opel Corsa and a grill stand chair showed damages from flying debris. The REWE market's shopping cart shelter was completely destroyed in the accident.

The 18-year-old's driver's license was confiscated due to suspicion of participating in an illegal street race. Eyewitnesses are asked to contact the traffic commission of the police in Detmold under the telephone number 05231-6090.

No new information about the identity or condition of the young man was provided. The police's official website is https://lippe.polizei.nrw/, and the Lippe PoliceControl Center can be reached at 05231/609-1222, with a fax number of 05231/609-1299. No new information about the driver's license status or the car seizure was provided.

No publicly available information about the specific participants of the illegal street races in Detmold before the accident was disclosed. Additionally, no new information about vehicle defects or illegal street racing was provided in this case.

The accident occurred around 1:50 AM. The police are still investigating the cause of the accident beyond the initial report of an error message.
