Flame engulfs multiple-story building in Taldykorgan

In Taldykorgan, a high-rise building caught fire, resulting in four individuals, including two children, being hospitalized. The incident was reported by Almaty.tv.

The fire, which covered an area of 15 square meters, started within an apartment on the fourth floor. Rescuers, aided by seven units of equipment, managed to extinguish the blaze. Footage from the scene shows a firefighter navigating a smoky room.

Kanat Altynbekov, head of the city's Emergency Department, made the statements. He confirmed that the child and their family were hospitalized at the Taldykorgan Regional Multiprofile Hospital with signs of poisoning, most likely due to carbon monoxide exposure. The child's condition is currently assessed as moderate.

During the evacuation, 15 people, including three children, were evacuated from the staircase by the Emergency Department. Rescuers also evacuated a 1.5-year-old child from another apartment on the fourth floor.

A total of 35 people evacuated themselves from the building. 27 personnel from the Almaty region's Emergency Department were involved in the firefighting efforts.

It's important to note that the cause of the fire remains unknown, as previously reported. Wallpaper and furniture within the apartment were involved in the fire.
