Flame engulfs the heart of Gadebusch

In Gadebusch, a carport went up in flames on a specific date at approximately 3:45 PM. The incident occurred on the grounds of a local hotel, with the carport, measuring about 50 square meters, being completely destroyed. The fire also caused damage to two cars and a bicycle nearby.

Upon arrival of the police forces, the carport was found burning. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The volunteer fire departments arrived shortly after and successfully extinguished the fire, preventing further damage.

The Criminal Police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the fire, and it is believed that the fire was caused by a chemical reaction from damaged lithium-ion batteries. The estimated damage from the fire is approximately 100,000 euros, but thankfully, the main hotel building was not affected.
