'Florence Road reveals a fresh feel-good track titled 'Break The Girl'"
Florence Road, a four-piece band hailing from Dublin, Ireland, is set to captivate audiences across the globe with their upcoming live performances and the release of their latest single, 'Break The Girl'. The band, consisting of Lily Aron (vocalist), Emma Brandon (guitarist), Ailbhe Barry (bassist), and Hannah Kelly (drummer), has been making waves as one of the most exciting up-and-coming acts on the live scene.
Kicking off their tour, Florence Road is scheduled to play at Tramshed in Cardiff, UK on September 24 for BBC R1 Live. This performance follows a string of successful gigs, including opening for Olivia Rodrigo in their hometown and a packed show at The Great Escape.
The band's major label debut mixtape, 'Fall Back', was released in June, and the latest single from the album, 'Break The Girl', has become a fan favourite at gigs. The track features Aron singing an infectious chorus about a toxic relationship over hazy indie riffs. The music video for 'Break The Girl', directed by Benji Gershon, was shot in their hometown of Bray.
After their UK and Ireland dates, Florence Road will embark on a tour of Australia, where they will support Royel Otis. The tour will take them to Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne on October 17, Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on October 24 and 25, The Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on October 4, 5, and 21, and The Ice Cream Factory in Perth on October 29 and 30.
In addition to their Australian tour, Florence Road will also perform at The Away From Home Festival in New York on October 4, Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany on September 17, and Ireland Music Week in Dublin on October 2. The band has also announced their 2025 tour dates, although further details are yet to be revealed.
Florence Road will return to Ireland to perform at The Academy in Dublin on November 30. Tickets for their UK and Ireland dates can be found at this link, and tickets for the Australian trek can be found at this link.
In an interview with NME, the band spoke about the creation of 'Break The Girl' and described supporting Olivia Rodrigo as a "full circle moment". With their electrifying live performances and catchy new single, Florence Road is undoubtedly a band to watch in the coming months.
