Folk-rock musician Serena Ryder set to entertain audiences in Edmonton during the holiday season

Serena Ryder, the Toronto-based artist known for her triple-platinum hit Stompa, is embarking on a festive tour called "Merry Myths". The tour, which kicks off in Calgary at the Bella Concert Hall, will feature holiday classics, yuletide lore, and Serena Ryder's original songs.

The tour will span across Canada, starting in Alberta at the end of November. It will reach Banff and Saskatoon before landing in Edmonton, where it will reach the Winspear Centre by Dec. 2.

An all-Canadian band will join Serena Ryder on stage. Christine Bougie will be on guitar, Miles Gibbons on drums, Lydia Persaud on vocals and acoustic strings, and Brian Kobayakawa on bass.

Ryder first entered the folk-rock scene in 2007 with Weak in the Knees. Since then, she has released eight studio albums and won seven Juno Awards, with the first being New Artist of the Year in 2008.
