Following his recovery from an arm injury, Gnabry prepares to take the field against Northern Ireland.
In the ongoing international break, Germany faced Slovakia in a crucial match, and one notable change in the lineup was the substitution of Karim Adeyemi for Serge Gnabry in the 66th minute. Gnabry had to leave the field earlier due to a left arm injury he sustained during the first half of the match.
The injury was a cause for concern, especially considering Gnabry's previous history with arm fractures. Two years ago, he suffered a fracture of the left ulna in a DFB-Pokals match for Bayern Munich against Preußen Münster, an injury that required surgery and kept him sidelined for several weeks.
However, the German Football Association has confirmed that Gnabry will be available for the upcoming match against Northern Ireland. The match, scheduled for Sunday at 20:45 CET, will be held in Cologne and will be broadcast on RTL.
Head coach Julian Nagelsmann is preparing the team for the upcoming clash, having all 23 nominated players available. This includes Gnabry, who played the second half of the match against Slovakia with an arm brace. Maximilian Beier, called up as a replacement for the injured Niclas Füllkrug, is also ready to contribute to the team's efforts.
The final training session for the German team is scheduled for the afternoon (16:30 CET) at the Cologne stadium, as they gear up for the crucial match against Northern Ireland. With Gnabry's expected recovery, the team looks forward to a strong performance in their second World Cup qualifier.
