Food enthusiast examines eateries in his native city of Wiesbaden for social media followers
Gastro-influencer Bernd Zehner embarked on a food tour of his hometown, Wiesbaden, and shared his experiences with his followers. The journey began at "The Noodlemaker" where Zehner tried the hand-pulled noodles, specifically the Chinese Bolognese (14 euros). He expressed his enthusiasm for the dish, praising its well-prepared and awesomely seasoned flavours.
Next on the list was Goc Da in SonnenbergerstraΓe, a restaurant offering a vast and impressive vegan menu. Zehner enjoyed Banh Hoi Heo Quay (23.90 Euro) and Pho Bo (16.90 Euro), two Vietnamese dishes that left a lasting impression.
The tour continued to Schoppenhof (Sedanplatz), a restaurant that Zehner deemed to be at the forefront of the Wiesbaden gastro scene. The dishes served were quick to arrive, approximately in ten minutes, and Zehner was pleased with the Frankfurter Schnitzel with green sauce (20 Euro), Rippchen (16 Euro), and the potato pancakes, which he found to be "awesome" and similar to those made by his mother. The meat served at Schoppenhof was classified as "super-juicy".
Zehner was equally impressed with the Italian food at Little Italy in BurgstraΓe. He ordered Pappardelle (20 Euro) and Rinder-Carpaccio (25.90 Euro). The Carpaccio with porcini mushrooms and the octopus (Pulpo, around 40 Euro) he tried were both "wonderfully juicy and especially butter-soft". He noted that dishes at Little Italy have power and nothing on the plate is boring.
The journey ended at "Lilli", near Wiesbaden's central station. This restaurant offers a culinary style that is masterful, extremely stylish, light-footed, regional, and seasonal, focusing on Austrian and European cuisine with a strong regional connection, as exemplified by Lilli und Jojo in Gamlitz, Austria. Zehner was enthusiastic about a veggie dish at "Lilli" and announced a second part to his Wiesbaden tour coming up soon. He also praised the wide noodles ("Youpo Laminan"; 13 euros) at "The Noodlemaker".
In conclusion, Bernd Zehner's Wiesbaden food tour was a success, with each restaurant offering unique and delicious dishes that showcased the city's diverse culinary scene. His enthusiastic reviews and praises have undoubtedly inspired many food lovers to visit these establishments and taste the flavours of Wiesbaden for themselves.
