Hall-Putnam County Football Team Shows Resilience in Week 2 Loss

The Hall-Putnam County football team demonstrated a strong performance in their Week 2 matchup against Erie-Prophetstown, despite the final score of 19-7 in favour of the opponents.

Coach Joel Harvin's team showcased big plays and a tough defense throughout the game, which was part of the Three Rivers Conference. One of the highlights came in the second week, when senior quarterback Dylan Glynn connected with tight end Chase Sterling for a 43-yard touchdown pass. Sterling advanced to the end zone with a memorable hit on a Panther, reducing the deficit to 13-7 with 11:45 left in the fourth quarter.

However, the Panthers scored another touchdown in the fourth quarter, securing the win. The loss marks the first of the season for Hall-Putnam County, who have displayed a never-give-up attitude despite the setback.

Looking ahead, the team will look to bounce back in Week 3, traveling to Mendota for their first Three Rivers Conference Mississippi Division game of the season. Despite the loss, the team's determination and skill have shown promise for the rest of the season.
