Football Matchup Predictions for a Same-Game Parlay on Sunday: Miami versus Notre Dame in NCAA Football

Hard Rock Stadium will play host to an enthralling Week 1 college football matchup as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish take on the Miami Hurricanes on August 31st, with the game scheduled to start at 7:30 pm ET.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish, under the guidance of Offensive Coordinator Mike Denbrock, are expected to rely heavily on their rushing attack, spearheaded by Jeremiah Love and Jadarian Price. The Irish's offensive line is also anticipated to be a strength, providing a solid foundation for their ground game.

Miami, on the other hand, will look to their edge rushers, Akheem Mesidor and Rueben Bain Jr, to disrupt Notre Dame's freshman pivot, CJ Carr. The Hurricanes' defensive strategy is geared towards making life difficult for the redshirt freshman quarterback.

Notre Dame's cornerbacks, Leonard Moore and Christian Gray, are regarded as dominant and elite covermen. Moore, in particular, allowed only 16 of his 42 single-coverage targets to be caught last season, limiting opposing QBs to a 59.9 passer rating. Gray, too, had a stellar performance in a national semifinal game against Penn State, holding their receivers to zero receptions and zero yards in coverage.

The betting trends suggest that five of the last seven Week 1 games for Notre Dame have gone under the total for the Irish. However, 72% of moneyline bets and 71% of spread bets are currently on Notre Dame in the latest college football public betting splits.

CJ Carr's predicted passing yards for the game are under 186.5, and LSU transfer CJ Daniels' Week 1 receiving yardage line is 42.5, but he is predicted to have fewer receiving yards. Daniels will be making his first game appearance at Miami.

This promising game promises to be an exciting start to the college football season, with both teams aiming to start their campaigns on a winning note. With a strong rushing attack, dominant cornerbacks, and a defensive focus on edge rushers, fans can expect a closely contested match.
