Ford Unveils Electrified and Powerful MS-RT Models at IAA Mobility 2025

Ford is set to present two new additions to its MS-RT line at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich – the E-Tourneo Custom MS-RT and the Ranger Plug-in Hybrid MS-RT. Both models will be released in 2026, with orders starting in 2025.

The E-Tourneo Custom MS-RT, the most powerful model in its class at Ford, boasts up to 210 kW (285 PS). It comes equipped with 19-inch anthracite wheels that lower the body, widen the track by 50 mm, and reduce unsprung mass by one kilogram each. The interior features ergonomically shaped sports seats, illuminated logos, blue decorative stitching, a 13-inch display, and a comprehensive comfort package. For added versatility, the E-Tourneo Custom MS-RT offers a rail system in the rear for individual configuration or complete removal of the eight seats.

The Ranger Plug-in Hybrid MS-RT, based on the first partially electric powertrain in Ford's pick-up series, delivers 207 kW (281 PS) and 697 Nm of torque. It offers a 3.5-ton towing capacity, a 1,000 kg payload, and eAWD all-wheel drive. The Ranger Plug-in Hybrid MS-RT also features a rally-inspired design with widened fenders, a 40 mm lower suspension, a prominent ducktail spoiler, splitters, diffuser, and a robust honeycomb grille. It is equipped with 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels in a 275/45 R21 format. The interior includes sports seats with Eco-Wild and artificial leather, blue contrast stitching, illuminated MS-RT logos on the backrests, a 12-inch SYNC 4A touchscreen, and a heated steering wheel with a 12 o'clock marking.

One of the standout features of the Ranger Plug-in Hybrid MS-RT is its ability to offer up to 40 kilometers of pure electric driving. This makes it an attractive option for those seeking a balance between power and environmental friendliness.

Ford has confirmed that both the electrified versions of the Ranger Plug-in Hybrid MS-RT and the E-Tourneo Custom MS-RT will be produced in the British Ford plant in Dagenham, near the development center in Dunton. Prices for these new models have not yet been announced.

With the introduction of these new MS-RT models, Ford has shown its commitment to innovation and sustainability, continuing to push the boundaries of what can be achieved in the automotive industry.
