Forecast for Saxony: anticipate thunderstorms and heavy downpours to commence the weekend; a brightening of weather conditions expected to follow

In the coming days, Germany is set to experience a mix of sunny weather and potential showers, with temperatures varying across the country.

Starting with this weekend, the Free State can expect dry weather with temperatures ranging between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius (17 to 21 degrees in the mountains) on Saturday. The best opportunity to enjoy a summer day by the lake will be on Sunday, as the weather remains clear and dry with highest temperatures between 25 and 27 degrees, 20 to 24 degrees in the mountains.

However, the night from Sunday to Monday may bring some unsettled weather to the Free State, as an autumn low approaches Frankfurt and Hesse. While it's expected to remain dry for now, the possibility of showers cannot be entirely ruled out. The temperatures will drop to 12 to 7 degrees during this period.

Meanwhile, in Saxony-Anhalt, the weather will be summery with sun and showers. On Sunday, the region will be clear and dry with highest temperatures between 25 and 27 degrees, 20 to 24 degrees in the mountains.

In Bavaria, residents can expect a change in weather conditions around September 10 to 14, 2025. The weather will become more autumn-like, with temperatures dropping to around 20 degrees Celsius. Despite the cooler temperatures, the weather is expected to remain relatively mild.

Elsewhere, Hesse will start the weekend with unstable weather, but it will clear up towards the end. Berlin and Brandenburg, on the other hand, are forecast to experience a heatwave followed by lightning.
