In a series of shocking allegations, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has accused the Kenyan government of remaining silent while Kenya's territorial integrity faces threats. Gachagua claims that foreign troops, specifically Ethiopian forces, have occupied parts of Mandera, resulting in five deaths, injuries, and displacement of residents.

The former Deputy President has evidence supporting these allegations, but has withheld it from Kenyan authorities, stating that he will only share it with US authorities once officially requested. Gachagua has not disclosed any details about the ongoing investigations in the US.

These allegations have sparked a heated response from Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, who called Gachagua a reckless traitor during a fundraiser in Sitotwo, Elgeyo Marakwet County. Kindiki urged anyone with such information to present it to Kenya's security agencies.

Meanwhile, Mandera county leaders have been accused by Gachagua of remaining silent despite witnessing the situation. The invasion, as Gachagua describes it, has disrupted schools in Mandera Town, forcing the closure of BP1 Primary School and displacing pupils preparing for national exams. Gachagua states that it is unacceptable for foreign forces to invade Kenya.

The fighting between the Somali National Army and Jubaland forces has spilled across the border, disrupting lives and threatening the safety of residents. Mandera Governor Mohamed Khalif has demanded the immediate withdrawal of Jubaland troops from the county. Gachagua has called on President William Ruto to order operations to remove the foreign forces.

Gachagua's allegations about the Ruto-AS meetings are still under investigation. Previously, Gachagua has made allegations that President Ruto met secretly with Somalia-based Al-Shabaab leaders in Mandera. However, Ruto has denied these claims.

As the situation in Mandera continues to unfold, the nation waits for further developments and clarification from the relevant authorities.
