Four individuals apprehended in Rödermark after allegations of swindling charitable contributors
In Roedermark-Ober-Roden, four individuals were arrested on Thursday afternoon on suspicion of fraudulent fundraising. The suspects, aged between 22 and 25, include two men and two women.
The alleged fundraising took place in the parking lot of a discount store on Senefelderstraße. Initial findings suggest that the suspects may have also damaged another vehicle during their attempted getaway.
The incident came to light around 15:35 when a witness reported the suspects to the police. Officers arrived at the scene shortly after and recorded the suspects' personal details.
The suspects attempted to leave the scene in a car with a French license plate, but were prevented from escaping by bystanders. Witnesses are being urged to come forward by investigators. They can provide information about the incident in Roedermark-Ober-Roden.
