The National Heads-Up Poker Championship Returns with Star-Studded Lineup

The National Heads-Up Poker Championship is back, and it's bigger than ever. PokerGO and PokerStars have partnered to bring back this prestigious poker series, promising a thrilling three-day tournament filled with high stakes and intense competition.

The tournament, which will be broadcast on PokerGO in spring, has attracted some of the biggest names in the poker world. Among the pros participating are Michael 'The Grinder' Mizrachi, Phil Laak, Liv Boeree, Erik Seidel, and Mike 'The Mouth' Matusow.

The tournament features a single-elimination bracket with a $25,000 buy-in. The first-round matchups have been set, and the 64 players are divided into four regions: spades, hearts, clubs, and diamonds.

In the Hearts Region, Keith Lehr will play against Bryce Hall, Justin Gavri against John Smith, Frankie Brannan against Garrett Adelstein, and Bryn Kenney against Vinny Lingham. Mike Matusow will face Stephen Chidwick, and Chris Moneymaker will take on Igor Kurganov.

In the Diamonds Region, Xuan Liu will play against Doug Polk, Alan Keating against Shaun Deeb, Victoria Livschitz against David Williams, and Cary Katz against Josh Arieh. Eric Seidel will square off against Andrew Robl, and Erick Lindgren will face Jason Koon.

The Clubs and Spades Regions will feature matchups such as Tyler Montoya against Jason Calacanis, 3 Coin against Michael Mizrachi, Matt Salsburg against Johnny Vibes, Richard Seymour against Matt Berkey, Jesse Lonis against Kristen Foxen, Jasper against Marius Gierse, Chino Rheem against Nick Wright, and Rob Riggle against Hanks.

The winner of each region will advance to the semi-finals, with the ultimate champion taking home a grand prize of $500,000. The National Heads-Up Championship payouts for 1st place is $500,000.

The tournament's return marks an increase in star power, promising a spectacle of poker at its finest. Episodes of the tournament will air on Peacock and PokerGO, allowing fans worldwide to witness the action unfold.
