Frankfurt obtains SustainFM accreditation

By August 2025, the Frankfurt Smart Building One, overseen by Strabag Property and Facility Services (Strabag PFS) on behalf of CA Immo Deutschland GmbH (CA Immo), has been awarded certification for environmentally friendly building management in line with the gefma SustainFM standard.

The Frankfurt Smart Building One, a striking addition to the city's skyline, continues to impress with its commitment to sustainability. Completed in 2022 and owned by CA Immo Deutschland GmbH (CA Immo), this high-rise building serves as both an office and hotel space.

The operational strategy of the Frankfurt Smart Building One is particularly noteworthy. It includes energy management, digitalization of maintenance, emergency management, and sustainable procurement. This approach has been so effective that the building received the DGNB Platinum Certificate in August 2025, attesting to its high sustainability standards in both construction and operation.

The building also boasts the DGNB Diamond Seal for its design and urban integration. CA Immo, recognising the importance of sustainability, commissioned Strabag Property and Facility Services (Strabag PFS) for technical and infrastructural facility management. Strabag PFS has been managing the Frankfurt Smart Building One for over three years now.

The hotel housed in the ONE building in Frankfurt is a 4-star superior hotel from the nhow brand. With a total office space of approximately 45,000 sqm, the Frankfurt Smart Building One has proven to be a significant contributor to Frankfurt's business landscape.

Despite being in operation for more than three years, the Frankfurt Smart Building One has not wavered in its sustainability commitment. It continues to maintain its high sustainability standards, setting an example for other buildings in the city. The Frankfurt Smart Building One remains a significant part of Frankfurt's skyline, a testament to its enduring impact.
