In a thrilling conclusion to the 13th edition of the Aasee Paddleboat Race, Team XYZ emerged victorious, setting a new record time of 1 hour and 20 minutes. The event, which took place on Sunday, was organised by Johannes Branderhorst and attracted 32 four-person teams from companies, catering businesses, and clinics.

The race was a hotly contested one, with Team GHI, a team from a local clinic, finishing in third place with a time of 1 hour and 25 minutes. The second spot was secured by Team DEF, who completed the race in a commendable 1 hour and 23 minutes.

The winner, Team XYZ, consisted of four members from Company ABC. Their impressive win was celebrated at Restaurant O PQR, where they were awarded their trophies. These trophies, designed by local artist LMN, were a fitting tribute to the teams' achievements.

The event also served as a significant fundraiser. The proceeds from this year's race were donated to the Münsteraner Förderstiftung für krebskranke Kinder (Münster Support Foundation for Children with Cancer). This year, the foundation received a symbolic giant check for 46,000 euros, 4,000 euros more than the previous year's total. The additional funds were raised through sponsorships and donations from the participating teams.

The event was generously sponsored by several local businesses, including Business JKL and Business MNO. The celebration dinner was a fitting end to a successful day, marking not only the triumph of Team XYZ but also the collective efforts of everyone involved in raising funds for a worthy cause.
