The American banking-as-a-service and embedded finance provider Synctera has announced a successful $15 million funding round, co-led by Fin Capital and Diagram Ventures. This latest investment brings Synctera's total amount raised to date to $94 million.

The funding round has been met with enthusiasm by Synctera's leadership, with co-founder and CEO Peter Hazlehurst calling it a "vote of confidence" in the company's growth trajectory.

One of the key reasons for Synctera's continued success is its focus on putting banks and end customers first. This approach has earned praise from industry figures such as Logan Allin, founder and managing partner of Fin Capital and a Synctera board member, who commended Synctera's commitment to doing things the right way.

Synctera's largest customer to date is Bolt, a new customer of Synctera that specializes in one-click online checkouts. Bolt plans to offer financial services to consumers with support from its bank partner Midland States Bank. Ryan Breslow, founder and CEO of Bolt, believes that partnering with Synctera will provide brands with more ways to engage with their customers.

In addition to its partnership with Bolt, Synctera has also formed a partnership with Hawk, an AI company that combats financial crime. This partnership is expected to help Synctera meet the complex needs of its larger customers and further establish its position as a leader in the banking-as-a-service and embedded finance sector.

The Open Banking Expo USA, scheduled to take place on June 26, 2025, at the Hilton Midtown in New York, will provide an opportunity for Synctera to showcase its offerings and network with industry leaders. The event's details, including speakers, agenda, and partners, can be found on the registration page. Mastercard is registered as a headline partner for the Open Banking Expo USA.
