Funding of EUR 5 million is being provided to the project by the Commission.
On several occasions over the past week, hit-and-run accidents have occurred in Central Hessen, Germany. The Central Hessen Police Headquarters have released information about these incidents, and are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.
On Saturday, 23rd August 2025, a hit-and-run accident took place on L 3092 from Marburg towards Caldern. A grey C400 sustained approximately 25,000 euros worth of damage as a result of the collision. Both vehicles involved in the accident fled the scene, and the police in Biedenkopf are requesting any information about the drivers or vehicles involved.
On Friday evening, 22nd August 2025, a grey Mazda was involved in an accident on the Tegut car park in Marburger Straße. A white car, driven by an older bald man, hit the Mazda from behind, causing 1,700 euros worth of damage, and drove off without leaving details. The Marburg Police are seeking information about the driver of the white car.
On 18th August 2025, a black VW collided with a red Golf in Weintrautstraße, Marburg, causing 2,500 euros worth of damage. The driver of the VW left an empty note on the windshield and drove off. The Marburg Police are seeking witnesses to the accident and any information about the driver who left the note on the Golf.

In a separate incident, a black Ibiza parked on the Sparkasse car park in "Am Bahnhof" street in Biedenkopf was damaged. The damage to the black Ibiza is estimated to cost around 5,000 euros, and the Biedenkopf Police Station is seeking information about the driver or vehicle involved. The damage to the black Ibiza occurred between 10:10 and 10:27 on Monday, 25th August 2025.
The Biedenkopf Police are also seeking information about the unknown vehicles and their drivers involved in the accident on L 3092 on 23rd August 2025. Contact the Biedenkopf Police Station at 06461/92950 for any information regarding the black Ibiza incident.
