"Game titled 'Among us' developed by Marina Pohl"
Marina Pohl, a renowned artist born in Ingolstadt in 1997, is set to open a solo exhibition titled "among us" at the Municipal Gallery in the Theater in Ingolstadt. The exhibition will run from the 4th to the 28th of September, offering visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Pohl's captivating works.
Pohl's exhibition features a diverse array of paintings, graphics, and a spatial installation. The mediums used in her works are glue and oil paint on canvas, which she employs to create intricate visual spaces that reveal subtle states and aspects of the self.
The beings depicted in Pohl's works hail from plant, spiritual, and human nature. These beings merge and protect each other, forming a unity that is central to her art. The exhibition aims to create a space for the inner wilderness, serving as a resonance chamber for what affects beneath the surface, yet is constantly "among us".
Pohl's artistic journey has taken her to various prestigious platforms, including Salzburg, Munich, New York, Holland, Berlin, and Vienna. Her accomplishments include being the recipient of the Klaus W. Sporer Prize 2024.
On Saturday, 13th September, at 8 pm, there will be a conversation with the artist and a presentation of the exhibition catalog as part of the Night of Museums. This event promises to be an insightful exploration into Pohl's creative process and the inspiration behind her works.
Admission to the exhibition is free, and visitors can attend during the exhibition's opening hours, which are Thursday to Sunday, from 12 pm to 6 pm. For those unable to attend the Night of Museums event, this is an excellent opportunity to engage with Pohl's thought-provoking art.
In addition to the Ingolstadt exhibition, Pohl has a solo exhibition planned for 2026 at the Federal Joint Committee Berlin. Her rising star in the art world is undoubtedly a testament to her unique vision and talent.
