Gathering of Girls with KG Düsseldorf Radschläger

In the heart of Düsseldorf, the Gantenberg House played host to a lively event on a recent evening. The home base for the KG Düsseldorf Radschläger was packed with cheerful women at 5:11 PM, ready to enjoy an evening of camaraderie and entertainment.

The session kicked off with a carnival atmosphere, thanks to the efforts of the De Huusmeester team. The prince couple, Andreas I. and Evelyn, were enthusiastically received, and their session song was the upbeat "Düsseldorf Helau". A large choir accompanied the royal pair, adding to the festive mood.

During the ladies' session, Achnes Kasulke shone in her role, while Lieselotte Lotterlappen made witty remarks that had the audience laughing. The Radschlägerinnen, known for their inclusive approach, allowed men to join in during the ladies' sessions, unlike other carnival societies.

The event also served as an opportunity for fundraising. Tollitäten were collected for the Clara-Schumann-Music-School support association and the Ambulant Children and Youth Hospice Service (AKHD). A signed Radschläger of the prince couple was auctioned off, adding 200 euros to the donation box.

President Gerty Röhr initiated the "Ruhe im Saal" action to show appropriate appreciation to speakers, ensuring the event remained respectful and enjoyable for all. Dietmar Karnott presented his program as "Dä Jung us em Leeve", a Swiss German phrase meaning "the young one from life", but there is no clear identification of a performer by this exact name in relation to the event.

The board and Elferrat of the Radschläger were present at the event, and Innkeeper Helge, known for hosting the "legendary girl's session" for the Radschläger, prepared homemade meatballs for the attendees. As the evening wore on, the ladies continued to celebrate, with a polonaise starting immediately after the event began, and the Ruhrpott Guggis providing music for the session.

All in all, it was a successful and enjoyable evening, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a sense of community, all while supporting worthy causes. The Radschlägerinnen and their guests look forward to more such events in the future.
