Prince's Guard Hosts Grand Gathering in Bonn

The city of Bonn played host to a grand gathering of traditional associations last week, as the Prince's Guard of Düsseldorf invited a dozen such groups for a memorable event.

The festivities took place on the market square in front of the town hall, where the Prince's Guard had set up catering stands and a stage. Approximately 1,000 guards participated, creating a colorful and sonorous spectacle.

The Prince's Guard of Düsseldorf, Blau Weiss 1927 e.V., was joined by several other associations, including the Tonnengarde Niederkassel, Gerresheimer Bürgerwehr, Stadtgarde Oecher Penn von 1857 e.V., GKG Rheinische Garde Blau-Weiss e.V., the Prince's Guard of the city of Ratingen Rot-Weiss von 1935, Altstadtfunken Monheim 1928 e.V., Düsseldorf Bürgerwehr 1892 e.V., and K.G Narrenzunft Baesweiler e.V.

The event began with a procession of the guards, led by three mounted guards, moving over the Bolkerstraße towards the town hall. The young talents of Rot-Weiss opened the show, consisting of minis, dance pairs, and solo majorettes.

One of the highlights of the event was the performance by the dancers of the guard Blau-Weiss, who danced in the sunlight to the delight of the crowd. The Prince's Guard of the city of Aachen 1910 e.V. and the Altbier Vikings were also among the guests who added to the festive atmosphere.

In a special moment, Rot-Weiss commander Olliver Fricke surprised the prince couple with a gift. The gift for the prince couple was a voucher for a joint breakfast with a subsequent excursion to a plant market. Both the prince couple can choose something for their garden with the voucher, reflecting the love of Prince Andreas I. for gardening.

Dirk Kemmer, president and chairman of the Prince's Guard, was solemnly appointed as a reserve lieutenant by the Oecher Penn. This honor recognizes his commitment to the carnival and friendship with the Aachen association.

For those who were unable to attend the event, all further impressions can be found on the website Karina Hermsen and Ute Neubauer. Emails for ordering pictures from the gallery can be sent to media@our website. A donation would be appreciated for orders.

The Prince's Guard of Düsseldorf looks forward to hosting more such events in the future, bringing together traditional associations and celebrating the rich culture and history of Germany.
